Partnering to Secure America's Energy Future
Implementation & Commissioning
Our strength is in our ability to implement a wide variety of energy conservation measures at the highest level of quality. With a 100-year history in general contracting, we know how to get things done in both commercial and residential construction and renovation. Our relationships with architects, engineers, and subcontractors are well-established and facilitate expedient project delivery and minimal delays. We are confident in our ability to provide the best product on time and within budget. Unlike the typical energy services company, our roots are in construction, and we can offer the most cost-effective upgrades for your facilities.
Energy Retrofits
Clark has completed countless renovations that have provided us with experience upgrading equipment in working environments. We can implement energy improvements with minimal disturbance to building occupants and will work with the facility manager to minimize disruption to building functions. Through proper scheduling and coordination with involved parties, we will retrofit your facility without the slightest hitch in building operations.
High-Performance New Construction
Our energy solutions are not limited to retrofitting aging buildings. Our business model can also be applied to new construction projects to reduce the total cost of ownership of your building. Unlike traditional “value engineering” that reduces first cost at the expense of lifecycle costs, we can identify upgrades to building systems that could be paid for using the lifecycle savings they would generate relative to the base systems. We offer full construction services so that our energy solutions can be implemented in conjunction with the standard construction schedule, eliminating potential coordination issues and schedule delays. By incorporating our team into the planning process in the early stage, energy conservation measures and upgrades can be more easily integrated into building plans and specs. This allows us to consider changes in the context of the entire project and to implement higher value, more comprehensive changes that will significantly improve building performance. As an additional benefit, this improved performance can be the difference between LEED Gold and LEED Platinum for your project.

Our installers and engineers will commission each piece of installed equipment in front of the facility manager so that the appropriate information is passed down for proper handling. Beyond commissioning, training will be scheduled prior to project acceptance so that the appropriate personnel are well-equipped to handle the day-to-day operations of the new or repaired equipment. Depending on the size of the project, training may last a few hours or several days, but we will not leave the jobsite until we are comfortable that your staff is fully prepared to operate and maintain any building improvements.
