Innovating to Secure America's Energy Future
Water Conservation
While less of a headline issue than energy efficiency and renewable energy generation, water conservation is a major issue in our country and around the globe. Beyond the global impacts associated with our inability to conserve water at a sustainable rate, inefficient water usage across the built environment, especially in the arid West, is driving up water costs and quickly becoming a significant problem.
Clark Energy Group analyzes water usage in every site audit that we perform. We look at everything from toilets and faucets to irrigation and HVAC system water utilization. We also identify any incentives that may apply to your facility to help subsidize the project cost. Clark has implemented many creative water conservation measures in the past, such as green roofs, which not only minimize water runoff from the roof but also reduce heating and cooling loads within the building.
Clark water conservation measures:
- Low-flow and dual flush toilets
- Waterless urinals
- Faucet sensors
- Appliance replacements
- Irrigation system upgrades (e.g., rain shutoff controls)
- Green roofs
- On-site wastewater treatment
- HVAC water chemical treatment
