We have practiced energy efficient construction and development for decades and will bring that expertise to your organization to improve your energy efficiency along with your bottom line.
Critical Solutions for an Uncertain World
Over the last decade, the importance of energy security has reached critical levels as we deal with the very real threats of natural disaster, terrorist attacks, and acts of war. According to a 2008 report on energy security by the DoD Defense Science Board, both demand- and supply-side steps must be taken to eliminate risks of catastrophic grid outages. The products and services offered by the Clark team address both demand- and supply-side risks by reducing dependence on the grid system. Our energy security solutions focus on both reducing demand through energy efficiency and increasing supply through alternate backup power sources and on-site renewable energy.
Improving Energy Efficiency and Generating Renewable Energy
As Clark's services protect your facility from energy risks, they will benefit the environment at a time when resource conservation is becoming increasingly important. To help your organization reduce the amount of external energy that it requires, we increase the energy efficiency of each building and maximize on-site renewable energy. In addition, we can leverage cleaner sources of backup power, such as fuel cells and microturbines, to supply energy to your facility during periods of high stress on the grid.
Federal Mandates
The federal government recognizes the need for accountability at home in order to lead to the world into a new era of sustainability. Within the last five years, the following mandates have been issued to all federal agencies, requiring major changes in federal energy consumption and serving as a guidepost for commercial and institutional enterprises:
- Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 2005)
- Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA 2007)
- Executive Order 13423
Clark Energy Group can help your agency or business reach and exceed these goals.
