Energy Engineer
Job Description:
As an Energy Engineer within our small, but growing team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, energy audits,
engineering analysis, overseeing the design process, developing test protocols to ensure performance, and organizational
development. Success in this position requires a dynamic individual with high energy, motivation, and an acute passion for
developing sustainable energy solutions for the next generation of buildings and facilities. We seek high-potential individuals
who can learn quickly and grow with the organization, assuming additional responsibility as the organization expands over the
next several years.
Responsibilities:
- Project and business development responsibilities from the preliminary audit, detailed energy audit up to the design/build phase.
- Screening and qualifying the feasibility of energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities.
- Collecting facilities, operations, utilities, and other data needed to develop energy projects and/or make efficiency improvements or to prepare energy analysis of facilities or systems.
- Performs and supervises preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) and/or opportunities.
- Analyzes blue prints and performs site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, and control systems and determine facility operational characteristics.
- Conduct detailed mechanical and control system energy improvement analysis and calculations using customized tools, spreadsheets and/or commercially available products.
- Recommend energy-efficient design solutions and energy-efficient technology upgrades including accurate descriptions, savings potential, cost estimates and back up data to verify ECMs.
- Development of measurement based monitoring and verification plans and protocols, commissioning protocols and associated post implementation operations & maintenance protocols.
- Coordinate the overall integration of design engineering, construction, start-up/turnover, and subsequent operations and maintenance of energy projects.
- Drive the technical due diligence from initial screen until turnover to the project management group for the implementation phase. This will involve identifying known risks (i.e. technical, construction, price, schedule, environmental, warranties, performance guarantees etc.); indicate impact and how they will be addressed and mitigated.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent discipline (Mechanical degree is preferred).
- Advanced degree in engineering and PE certification preferred.
Experience:
- 3-10 years of progressive experience in energy analysis.
- Experience with building energy systems including HVAC, controls, central utilities, and pumping systems.
- Experience in detailed energy simulations and in actual energy systems project implementation, including performance contracts, is preferred.
Job skills:
- Ability to provide technical leadership and project management to guide a team of energy engineering staff to identify, develop and implement integrated energy efficiency programs.
- Ability to individually develop customized energy improvement calculation tools is a plus.
- Measurement and verification skills, including installation of instrumentation for short-term data logging of power and environmental parameters.
- Ability to plan and manage the development of selected project opportunities and to direct the activities of internal and external resources to achieve deadlines.
- Engineering, analytical and technical writing skills, including spreadsheet analyses.
- Demonstrated ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A general knowledge of the financial, technical and political aspects driving the energy industries.

Energy Development Associate
Job Description:
As an Energy Development Associate within our small and growing team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks
related to our projects and organizational development, including but not limited to financial modeling, energy analysis and/
or engineering, proposal development, new business development, project management, and construction management,
depending on your capabilities and interests. We are looking to hire associates who are motivated to take ownership of projects
and to influence the trajectory of the company. Success in this position requires a dynamic individual with high energy and

Job Description:
As a Development Executive within our small and growing team, you will be a part of the company’s leadership team that
is responsible for all aspects of company management, from business development and client relations to operations and
finance. The development executive will also be involved in identifying, developing, and proposing new energy projects;
negotiating partnerships and alliances; structuring and closing transactions; assembling project financing; managing senior-level
relationships; and ensuring successful project implementation. Success in this position requires a dynamic individual with high
energy and motivation with an acute passion for developing sustainable energy solutions for the next generation of buildings
and facilities. Critical requirements include teamwork skills, knowledge of the energy industry, strong project management skills,
and the ability to deliver high quality and creative solutions in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry.

Proposal Specialist
Job Description:
As a Proposal Specialist within our small and growing team, you will be responsible for developing and writing persuasive
responses to customer requests (RFPs, RFIs) and other proposal documents. Success in this position requires a dynamic

of buildings and facilities, and superb written and oral communication skills. We seek high-potential individuals who can learn
quickly and grow with the organization, assuming additional responsibility as the organization expands over the next several
years.
Responsibilities:
- Develop written project proposals and manage external coordination with our affiliates and clients
- Work with other CEG team members to develop persuasive proposals in response to RFP requirements.
- Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, reviews, approvals and signatures.
- Work with Clark’s creative team on templates and graphics, as needed.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Clark Energy Group services, business strategies, plans and competition.
- Compose clear, concise answers to customer inquiries or requests for clarification.
- Assist development team with client presentations.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to business development processes.
